Sexisme chez les geeks : Pourquoi notre communauté est malade, et comment y remédier
(sexism within the Geeks, why our (Geek) community is sick, and how to go about fixing it ..)

TLDR (too long don't read in layman term) ... plus if one doesn't understand French, it would be just as frustrating. Then again, some would say what the heck? That's a French issue ...
The article summed up a few points (my opinion here)
- being a Geek is cool and proud (to a certain degree, my personal opinion here ok? don't start huffing and puffing away, tell ya, it's still snowing here where I am)
- many embrace the Geek label just to be part of a show, deep down it's just another venue to ogle girls (or guys). Con, expositions of tech stuff ... the venues where those Babes walk around giving out winkles and companies info
- female presentations are too often with boobs and po, and male are armor ... Dang, our male skin must be very tender ... one form of sexism here
- some "male" Geeks easily lose their cool when losing to a "female" Geek, spouting out derogatory remarks. It is so funny here, and sad at the same time. Either one is a Geek, or one is not. What is it with this male/female crap? Your inner macho identity testosterone only comes up when you lose? Damn ... Losers ...
See? I personally resent this totally. Being a male chauvinist pig I love being in the kitchen, fumbling about , experimenting recipes ... it beats stuffing one's face with fast foods, spilling crumbs all over the keyboard.
So ...
Responses to the blog has been massive, to outright warfare. Many said that is "much ado to nothing", many said "yes, we Geeks have the same issue ... infected here from outer world" and many, well ... not sure where we belong.
The article is long, I recommend just scrolling down the page(s) and take the look at screen shots and English paragraphs if you don't read French. They do convey quite clear of a picture and a strong message of inequality in the Geeks world, different from what Geeks really are and meant to be.

See what it means?
cheers ...
