So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

may I ask a question? What kind of warranty can you expect now from Acer? I had a similar opportunity too, but not that great of course. A guy was offering me an Acer Aspire 2023 for 350€ cheaper than what I can get it. But he was a bit unclear about whether or not I was going to get a receipt, so I said no.. As far as I know, to enable the Acer Advantage extended warranty you must have a receipt from the computer store you bought the laptop from. Am I wrong?
The person that I purchased the notebook from had 191 respones with 99% being positive. She also was a verified Paypal user and she was a member of the Square Trade community and she has sold many notebooks in previous auctions so I felt relatively safe. The auction that you linked to looks really fishy and I wouldnt even consider it.
As for as the warranty goes, the notebook is brand new and has never been registered and the paperwork didnt mention anything about needing a receipt to make a claim. Besides, I'll probably only keep this for a few months and resell it on ebay and maybe even make a small profit out of it.
BAHHH .. this makes me feel sad for spending $1500 just a month ago for my notebook ... the seller you got it from is currently not offering anything for sale hulud .. so that sucks .. i was about to jump on this deal as well ... but sorta scared to get such expensive stuff off ebay .. so i backed out ... bah bah bah, and lucky you
I've been eyeing this notebook for a while and was a little turned off by the arcade hardware because it required the FAT32 drives. Now if that hardware is software now instead I'll feel a little better if I get it.
Oh yeah, is yours the one with the DVD burner or just DVD/CDRW?

The arcade hardware is no longer there but the software is still available. I've not used it. I haven't installed the new harddrive yet, so I dont know if I will run into any problems. Hopefully I dont.
The casing (the notebook body) of your Aspire 2012 is made of what material? I was about to buy one when I figured out that Acer does not advertise an aluminum casing for Aspire 2010 series. Just for 2000 and 2020 series. Have sent a couple of messages to local Acer support… they are hopeless. This is why I would be very grateful to you if you could tell me the kind of material Acer used for the 2010 series. It would be also great if you could post some pictures.
