I only need an i5 with HD4000 graphics. For what I want is enough. (An extra graphic card is not helping me and surely will affect the stand by time and temperature.)
I am looking for these notebooks:
Toshiba Satellite C855
HP ProBook 4540s
Lenovo Essential B590
I know that HP and Lenovo has SATA3 connector which is a big plus. I want to put a SSD SATA3 instead the hdd (using that sata3 connector) and the hdd will be put in a hdd caddy. Probably the optical unit is connected at a sata2 port so it will be ok for a mechanical drive.
1. Is Toshiba having the hard drive connected to a SATA3 port?
All of these laptops have a simple configuration like i5 third gen processor, hd4000, usb3.0 (1-2 ports), 640GB (Toshiba) - 750GB (HP) - 1TB (Lenovo) hard drive.
More or less the same. I didn't like that Lenovo has a combo jack for audio and mic. Not a big issue but annoying because I will need a splitter and the quality is somehow affected.
I would like to know the temperatures compared, which one is having a better cooling system.
I would also need to know a comparison between displays. HP and Lenovo has anti-glare and Toshiba is glossy but which one having best image?
