I am BEYOND frustrated with ASUS right now.
My laptop U56E model was having a buzzing sound come from the fan area..but i wasn't sure. I read online that if this wasn't looked at, it could get worse and I could lose everything on my laptop, so i didn't want to take any chances.
I've had this laptop for 1 year and 4 months, got it brand new from Best Buy.
My laptop U56E model was sent to the ASUS service center in Milpitas, CA and THANK GOODNESS I got a tracking # for it or else they'd call me a liar. My laptop was received 08.30.13. and ever since then, it is now 9.13.13, my RMA status keeps showing the message:
Note: Due to our internal process, the repair status of your machine will be available the day after it has been delivered at the ASUS Service Center.
Um yeah, it's already BEEN DELIVERED and they still haven't updated a single thing.
You can only imagine how many times I've called ASUS regarding this issue. They keep saying that my laptop was "received" but that it hasn't been looked at yet and to keep checking and give it 24-48 hours for my status to be updated.
Called again and AGAIN because they keep telling me the same thing. Finally, after complaining so much, the lady who helped me (don't remember name) said she would "escalate" my case and pass my case onto a supervisor's desk and they'd give me call soon. I asked for an estimated time of this happening and they couldn't give me a time frame. NO CALL. I called ASUS again a couple days later, and was told that my case had been passed onto a supervisor and that they'd give me a call. again, NO CALL.
I've seriously lost track of how many times I've called them, i just made an excel spreadsheet documenting all of my calls w/them because this is seriously frustrating. I told them on my last two calls that If they aren't going to do anything to my laptop, then I want it back!!! they keep reassuring me that my laptop is at the facility.
This is my 2nd time sending in my laptop for repair. the first time was GREAT, I had no complaints. Once my laptop was received, I got it back 3 days later. Soooo i figured sending it in for a 2nd time would be the same experience. NOPE!!!!!
I shoulda just held onto my laptop and looked for a local repair shop.
I keep reading forums that they they've been given this "supervisor will call you" run, but no one ever calls!!!
and I told the guy on the phone this too on my last call which was a couple hours ago and he said "i can assure you that a supervisor will be calling you soon"...
yeah right....I'll let u know if they TRULY call me.
Since I live about 1.5 hours away from the service center I sent my laptop too, I feel like just driving there and taking my laptop back.
