rincewind,

that imprint of your hand that you left on that foam (its foam right?), is that part of the targus bag or something extra you had put in?

thats a high resistance polyeurothane skin that is scratch resistant material shock resistant, and absorbs alot of pressure/force

shinza.com

its not part of the targus

rincewind:

1) What kind of targus bag did you get?
2) What size sleeve fits the CL56?
3) Those pics of the "unpainted" don't look anything like any other pics I've seen, unless thats before the standard blue.?.?.? look: http://www.hypersonic-pc.com/CX5/index.asp doesn't really look the same...

thanks,

Chris

targus 15" deluxe notebook case (has velcro flip out folder for acessories, has a rear compartment for folder/binder/magazines, has a laptop compartment with padded protection all around and a velcro strap to hold it in place...

look up the dimensions of the CL and find a notebook skin that is the same size or larger in dimensions to see if it'll fit... if you go with a shinza skin it is 15" size large

thats the unpainted version ... it comes standard two tone dark navy blue + black... hypersonic sells it like that if u dont get it painted

so, is that the same as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEBI%3AIT&rd=1

(which I'm trying to get...)

and you got the two tone right? you like?

up above are 2 rubber feet to keep it safe when kept upright on floor

up above is the anti-slipp shoulder strap

the whole bag, weighs about 2 pounds

front velcro flap which holds acessories like mouse/cds/powerbrick

notebook compartment, padded all around and a velcro strap to secure it

rear compartment with collapsable file folder/divider for binders/folders/papers

not too thick...

color: You have the compal 56 right? Isn't it the blue/black? Do you like it?

bag: that looks nice! but I think I want to be a bit less conspicuous about the matter that I'm carrying a laptop... I dont want it stolen . I think I'm gonna snipe this targus, and get the shinza sleeve... Thanks!

-dude, you dont have to post pics at 12 in the morning for me im not in that much of a hurry, but thanks a ton!

the shinza sleeve is great too

i used to put it in my jansport bookbag along with my books

alot of kids around here on campus have messenger style bags even tho they dont have a laptop... so its not that obvious at times

i use both the shinza + targus

shinza fits right in the targus notebook compartment perfect
post #51 of 122
jeesh aieko... i see how it is... lol, jk

so then smarty jones, what would you recommend for a backpack then that could hold:

1) laptop in Shinza
2) External HD
3) power block and extra battery
4) maybe some books or mags?

My current regular ole bookbag is shot ta hell, been used for like 4yrs, zippers are broken... yeah... so... thanks,

Chris
