Pc3200 On Inspiron 8600..

I am thinking about getting one of those pc3200 rams since they're not much more expensive than pc2700 ones. Are they compatible to I8600? Will I8600 be able to run with the speed of ddr400, possible? I know that intel chipset spec says it can take ddr200/266/333, but can new BIOS solve this?

You can put faster ram in the system but if you do put faster ram in it will still run at the 333 speed.

Yeah, it can only take a max 333MHz RAM as a limitation of the chipset, if you got 400MHz then it would clock down to that supported speed. No BIOS release will "fix" this. Therefore, save some cash and get the supported PC2700 SO-DIMM.
