Neither do I. I really only did them out of courtesy to the people on the forum. Up until 3 months ago, I never ran one. I figure if it does what I want, at the level I want, it works for me.

I guess it could come in handy if you think you are having some problems to determine if something has drastically changed. Other than that, I ran them the first day I had the computer, and will hopefully never have to do so again. They were deleted off my laptop the following day. I also never plan to OC anything on my computer as long as I can continue to run everything.

That was the main reason I didn't respond when El Franco started spamming every benchmark thread. I figured I didn't want to get in a pissin' match about something I really know nothing about, and up until a few months ago, didn't care much about. I'll leave that to guys that know something about benchmarking.

I do still smell the smoke coming over the forum

heh.. I only benched my 5690 4 times. Only overclocked twice for the benchmarks and both times got the highest. If you wanna see some bench freaks with no life, check out the futuremark.com forums

One o' my friends from years ago would've fit in right w/ the futuremark group. While we didn't have PCs at the time, his thing was giving his Celica extra horsepower. He was always adding contraptions to his engine or throwing weird chemicals in the gas. Always said he was getting an extra 2 or 3 horsepower everytime he did something like that. We used to always joke about him eventually getting up to 300~400 horsepower w/ his little 84 Celica

Same mentality. I can see someone sitting at their computer tweaking this and adding that in order to get a little better score on some benchmark test. Makes me laugh because it's just like my Celica friend. Makes no sense t'me, but it's always good to have someone like that around for laughs when I need a good picker-upper

Machismo???
That is to laugh
I am only proud to have the fastest notebook in Portugal, and one of the fastest in the worls, i am still waiting for a printscreen or a link to Amir´s score of 2290...
I got my computer 1 month ago, it´s O/C and i never had 1 problem with that, and there is no smoke coming off my notebook , i am also a non smoker...
Well, only to say that i wait to see a real proof of beches higher than my notebook, maybe from Amir...
