Any other resellers use Fujitsu CrystalView (MVA) screens or XBRITE screens?

Other than the original manufacturers of course...

I have decided on those screens paired with an ATI Radeon 9600 PRO or 9700 in a small form factor under 5 pounds (how many times have you heard that )

Problem is these bloodsucking corporate thieves want to product differentiate so much that they never give you exactly what you want... therefore you keep upgrading as they feed you table scraps until your bank account is dry.

Gee was I rambling.... anyways I was hoping for a reseller using those screens .. anyone?

Good luck, not going to happen.

I think Fujitsu owns part of the technology in their MVA and Premium MVA (aka Crystal View) screens, and Sony also owns the technology in XBrite. So not very likely...

The (not yet released) Sony S Series with it's 64MB 9700 and XBRITE is the only thing that will come close to your requirements. Maybe Fujitsu will throw us a bone and put a decent graphics card in one of their smaller machines by the end of the year, but don't get your hopes up.

ya i just priced my dream machine on sony japan VAIO site

1.8 dothan
1gb ram
64mb ATI 9700
60gb HDD (hopefully at least 5400rpm)
Windows XP Home
DVD-RW (wtf i thought sony was backing +rw)
3 year warranty

332850 yen.... $2917 USD

SOLD!

I also played with the tuner to see difference in component prices... they are not bad at all

going from 256 ram to 1gig cost $330 USD ... about the same using 2 sticks of crucial memory

going from CDROM to DVD-RW cost $184 USD... reasonable

3 year warranty cost $60 USD more than 1 year

Hurry up sony! ActuallyI might have to look into getting my Japanese friends to ship this to me...
