That sucks for them, one more thing they have to worry about. I think there is a whole new job market waiting to take off with this.

I think I'll come on over and set up a busboy outsourcing business, we could be rich. . .

Nah, just about no-one tips in Australia, its just not done..... so no poor sap would be willing to do that for < minimum wage cause they get no tips.

So the waitresses/waiters have to serve all the nutty diners and then clean up after them without getting tips? Now that really sucks for them. I guess the restaurants are going to have to foot the bill for our elite army of teenage busboys/girls.

Here busboys get paid more per hour then the servers but only get a fraction of the tips. The servers make less then minimun wage and survive almost exclusively on tips.

well when there is a busboy they have to share the tips. lets just put it like this a the end of the night everyone put the tip in a tip box and then they just share it among themselfs.

Well here we have basically just waiters and waitresses, with essentially no tips (except at the most up-market restaurants). Those waiters/ waitresses get paid a bit more than their equivalent American peers, which kinda makes up for the tips. The Restaurant owners benefit from not having to pay as many people.
...... The system works, it may sound a little unusual compared to what you guys do but it works
Now what was this thread supposed to be about again?
