Has Anyone Got An Area51m Which Has Worked Properly Right From Day One???

Jus thought I would ask everyone. Have you bought an area51m in the UK or elsewhere around the world, and the impossible has happened. Yes thats right, it has worked flawlessly right out of the box. ???

You can count me as another. I was totally floored because I have the worst luck with everything else. Had it 2 months now, no complaints. It also shipped in 8 days!

Havent had any probs with mine, nothing other than the standard grainy dvd playback and crappy internal wireless reception that everyone else is having. Ive only bluescreened once so far...knock on wood.

Hmmm

Not bad stories so far. Mine went 6days without a BSOD. And yeah, grainy DVD playback, I have an external wireless.

Im thinking of asking for my money back or a new machine.

I've never bought a computer that workked perfectly from day 1

edit - but my alienware by far had the fewest and most minor problems

How many of you use the standby feature and do you get the missing cdrom/dvd after coming out of standby if you do please let me know.

Works perfactly (after flashing to a BIOS higher than v1.05) No stanby problems. In fact I only reboot once a week

I use the standby/hibernate function occaisionally and have never had a problem with the optical drive recognition. I am using BIOS 1.09, after 1.13 caused an uncontrollable mouse pointer.

mine worked fine xcept sometimes it wont boot up compleatly from coming from sleep or w/e its called when its closed. the fix. unplug the power coard from the back and open it. then plug back in once started.
