Hi all

Im trying to work out which mouse will be better for my 9100. The MX 700 or the MX 900. Blutooth would be handy but i heard it lags a fair bit during gaming compared to the MX 700. Is this true ?

Im looking for the ultimate gaming mouse to go with my 9100. Preferably wireless. Ive heard more good about the 700 than the 900. Any one here with experiance with either of these mice with a 9100.

I especialy wanna hear from a gamers poimnt of view.

BTW i play mostly FPS.

I use my MX700 just fine in FPS and it really has no problems skipping an the response is really smooth. I had an old MS Wireless mouse and it really bites compared to the MX700, which is my favorite mouse at the moment

I have tried a few different mice on my 9100, including two cordless, the Mx700 is one of them. It work fine, no noticable lag at all, but there is also another brand that is much cheaper and also has no lag.

I actually prefer the feel of it to the 700.

This is the actual one I have. Like I said, no lag, and works perfectly in FPS's

It was less than 1/2 the price of the MX700 and also has 800 DPI resolution and Fast RF radio connection.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Well I thought I'd let you know that I picked up the mx900 and a BAFO USB bluetooth adapter to see if I could avoid carrying around the large base.

As for the mx900, it seems to work great in CoH and COD. I didn't install the powerset tools so that I can make use of all 5 buttons. I think the mx700 fits my hands better. I have short thumbs...lol, so on the mx900 I have reach back farther in order to hit the thumb buttons.

Now, as for the bluetooth adapter, I had no luck in getting that to work. THough, I do believe others have so I'm back to searching the forums to find out which adapter to get.

I suppose my recommendation to you is whether or not you'll be using other bluetooth devices. If you aren't then I wouldn't worry about it and go with the mx700..cheaper. If you do have a bluetooth environment then it might benefit you to have one more device.

Hope this helps and if anybody has any advice on what usb bluetooth adapter works with the mx900 please let me know.

Thanks,
Matthew

Strange...I have both the MX700 (for my desktop) and the MX900 for XPS...they are exactly the same size.

Really? It seems that the mx900 is shorter length wise but a bit more of a hump...does that make sense. I know that with the "in store" model, who knows how accurate it actually is, the mx700 felt a bit more comfortable initially. I'll try it again later today.

The main reason why I got the mx900 was to hopefully be able to drop the dongle thing and just use a little bluetooth adapter...but at least for now, my plans have failed.
