I recently purchased the M6809 after diligently investigating laptops for over a month. I was days away from buying a chopped up HP for about $1200 that had about 1/2 of what I wanted (I really wanted an AMD64 and a DX9.0 card). The closest I could find was a Pavilion, but it had a GeForce Go440 
. Then I just happened to be at BB and browsed through the notebook section... low and behold.... the M6809 with sick rebates! I picked it up and could not be happier.
My question is about the 80gig hard drive. I really don't want to crack the machine open... can anyone confirm the manufacturer of the drive and the speed? It does fairly well on Sandra and I am thinking it may be a 5X00rpm drive and not the 4200rpm drive floating about. Also, is it a Hitachi drive? Any help here woyuld be great (I am brand new to the forums here and am pretty excited about digging in to this beauty)!
