Dell Latitudes, D800 & LM p133 used to support Flight Operations for a major AgriBusiness, with many locations far removed from Airline Service.
Photo on left, (from passenger compartment) has D800 in cockpit with WxWorx
Full screen display Radar Weather Map for passenger briefing. The XM Radio Satellites provide a constant download to the WxWorx Receiver, feeding that Program in the D800, which also feeds the 'music' to the Delphi Audio System on the seat.
The next Photo, shows the D800 strapped in the co-pilot's seat. The WxWorx 768x1024 Program is on the upper right side of the D800's 1920x1200 screen.
(This photo was taken parked in front of the Hanger and it also shows a WiFi Box, below WxWorx Control screen.)
Upper left 2/3's of the D800 shows JeppView FliteDeck Navigation Program
at a 1280x1024 fixed size. The 128 pixel-wide overlap in the center shows FliteDeck on top. Beneath those, with lower edge visable, is FliteStar's FliteMap screen
which like left photo of WxWorx, has a 'one-click' Full Screen Display available. Powering these three mapping programs is one Holux Bluetooth GPS
feeding through Franson GPS Gate
Other software loaded include Pratt&Whitney's Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (DOS Program) and a custom written Flight Log Program that works through MS Access to provide Pilot and Aircraft Logs as well as Fuel and Expense tracking.
The D800 is strapped atop a Flight Case containing a 'Class One' Electronic Flight Bag
including printed charts, electronic accessories and a second Dell Backup Portable Computer.
