I've tried every setting, in control panel, in the Sound Manager, I've reinstalled everything, including windows.... (and YES I do have the Subwoofer) I had it working once the other night, and after the computer reset, it will not work....
With out the sub and other 2 speakers, the sound is down right awful!

Help!

I have tried everything and now I'm getting pretty pissed...
The sound from this machine is awful, it sounded good the other night when all the speakers were working.

Since then, in an effort to make them work again, I've installed updated drivers, reinstalled windows, tried every control panel and sound manager option i could... with no avail....

Help!

try downloading latest drivers from realtek, http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True
then go to sound manager and change environment to "room", and check off 5.1. You should be able to get the sound to work once this is done.

first i should mention that i don't have a "sager" but i do have the same notebook (clevo D870p)

do you have an app called 'Sound Effect Manager' in control panel if so then
open the app
go to the 'speaker configuration' tab and check 6-channel mode
then go to the 'speaker test' tab to test your speakers

note: you may have to check 'swap center/subwoofer output' in the speaker test tab

I may be reading this wrong, and I do not have the 8790. Are you plugging in external speakers? On most laptops, when you plug in external speakers it disables the internal speakers. Including the Subwoofer. Does the subwoofer work without the external speakers?

I may be wrong on this with the 8790, but the Manual should say. Sorry if I read this wrong

Hey Captain,

Try changing the audio mode to the 6 speaker Dolby 5.1 setup. I couldn't get my rear speakers working at all unless I selected the 6 speaker setup, even though I don't use the center or sub out. I tried every possible combo and this was the only one that worked. BTW I have a Sager NP8790v.

Don't use any "sound effects" either, they really suk.
