A keyboard mod on the M6805.

I just wanted to share my experience changing the keyboard of my M6805.

This is a great machine, but as I am a Spanish (Mexican) user, i wished to change my keyboard, as for a more comfortable writing.

So, i checked some notebook keyboards, and the keyboard of the M6805, is the same in size and form with the one that the Compaq's Evo N1015v use.

So i just bought one of the replacement keyboards from Compaq, and did some work to make it fit with the slots of the Emachine, and now my computer has a Latinamerican Spanish keyboard.

Info on the korean keyboard.

Hi Minduka.

Acording to the manteinance guide for the Evo N1015V, the No of spare part of keyboard you should get is the 285530-AD1

Please, be aware, that you will need to make some mods to the keyboard to fit the Emachine.

I'm glad with the mod i did, i only voided the warranty of the spare keyboard i bought from compaq to make it fit my computer.

Good Luck.
