Partition size for WinXP(Home) install

What is the recommended/ideal partition size for the partition you are going to install XP Home on?

I assume that one of the main benefits of installing the OS to a separate partition is that it would cut down greatly on the amount(and available area) of fragmentaion within the OS? What other benefits are there?

I have always used 10 gigs, i usually have about 5 free. So you can go from there.
