I feel like there's a broken record in the room. Best Buy no longer classes the eMachines models as DEVO (Defective Equipment Void of Operation), so you can't just go in and get an "upgrade". Even I can't, and I work there. Most Best Buys are employing this policy now because of everyone previously "trading in" their laptops for a higher model. What you can do is send it to eMachines, since your warranty isn't up, or have Best Buy send it in for repair (it will take longer through the second option). eMachines should have it back to you within a week or so and your hinges will be fixed.
