Thought I'd post some pictures of my new heavy duty laptop case for my 9100.

This thing is totally waterproof and crush proof, you can drive a car over it and the laptop will be safe...

We use very similar cases in the military, however they are not tank proof. LOL

You should ask Dell for a massive DELL sticker for the side of the case. Hehe. Or get one made that says, 'Dell Inside'

Laptop Case

LOL, No I work with a Police Aviation Unit, we also do search and rescues throughout the State of NSW (10% larger than Texas), which has everything from tropical rainforest, desert to snow, sand, oceans and lakes.


The main reason for the case is for protection against dust and vibration. But also to create a "Daunting Impression" at the next Lan party I go too....

I think you can pick them up new on ebay for under $100 US. Retail for this model is $140 US. Unfortunately it cost me quite a bit more here in Australia, $421 Australian, I almost had one shipped from the US, but it would have cost me about $100 US in shipping costs, so the savings were not worth the local warranty.

There is another brand that is less expensive in the US, but not readily available here.. www.stormcase.com they actually have more secure latches.

I love the case...

how did you get the inside foam to fit your 9100? do u just give them the dimensions (or inspirons ) of what you need and they custom cut it or was it a DIY job?
