Yahoo music videos and linux, need help

Thread Starter
For those of you who don't know, yahoo offers free streaming music videos via WMP. And I want it to work under linux. has anybody had any sucess here? I've gotten as far as bringing up the window to play the music but no farther. To do this I've loaded the MPlayer plugins into the mozilla plugin directory so the web browser will call it to play media. Then I loaded the user agent switcher extention in to mozilla in order to trick yahoo in to thinking I'm running IE6. Like I said the windows pops up to play the media, but no farther. It will even let me select the bitrate. Has anybody had any more luck than me at this? By the way I'm running mandrake 10 offical.

yes

and no.

well mozilla cant play any of the streaming because its based off netscape and yahoo doesnt support it, i tried it with launch radio and it doesnt work in windows mozilla or linux mozilla. meh just use real audio player it works in linux and can tune into radio.

have you tried gmplayer? I've had better results using that to play streaming media.
