What do owners of the Alienware cases think? Are they really nice? Anyone have the Messanger one?

Thanks!

i have the messenger case.... and its great... the look is wonderful... leather sections along w/ith alienware metal logos on the zippers and a few other areas...beautiful case...

the only problem with it is size.... it fits the laptop and some cd's games and stuff.... but if you carry the battery in it as well it bulges out the sides.

Dude, the backpack owns my soul and everyone else's too. It has enough room for you laptop, mousepad, mouse, powerbrick, a couple cd wallets of games, and it still has a bunch of pockets left. It seems heavy if you hold it, but on your back it's as light as a feather. My only complaint is how the laptop holder leaves the upper 2-3 inches exposed, so you have to be careful with the upper area of the bag.

My backpack has no more room left for my mouse (which I will order soon enough)....but I have like a billion things in there....oooh boy...can't wait for my international flight

I just didn't see the value in a $90 backpack... you can get a similar backpack without the Alienware logo on it for about $49... I like the messenger case though... still a little pricy. I got a PHAT Samsonite, leather case for about $45 after isntant rebate...

Personally I think that a custom case for a custom laptop goes together...or I would've gotten the metal case from thinkgeek

Thanks, I may go for the messanger case then. I don't have much to put in the case besides the notebook, mouse and power brick.

Love my Area 51m!

You may find the messanger case a bit to crammed with those items in it. The backpack is more suited for that.

I have a Targus fake leather case that holds everything really well...the pc, full size mouse, power brick, a few cds, a large box of Runts....here
Also, having the AW logo all over the case kinda makes it a target for theft...more-so than a nondescript leather business case.

I agree with you flapjack... no one knows what you go inside... unless you see the AW logo on the case...

But the logos on the alienware case are pretty unobtrusive. the most obvious sign is the half an inch wide and 1 and a half inch long logo. Plus, i don't plan on letting the bag with my system out of sight.

I have to agree with what someone said earlier... The notebook deserves the Alienware case.

I just can't decide which one.

Backpack for a few reasons. One, you're getting on in your seasons (not really, but bear with me) so a nice backpack will limit the weight of the notebook. Plus, this way you can carry lots of stuff in it and it still looks great. I'm stareing and mine right now, and am really glad my Dad made me get it, instead of the case.

Is the backpack big enough to fit a good sized laptop (such as Dell's i8600) and one or two textbooks?

Putting a Dell in an Alienware backpack... blasphemy

I went with the 'Samsonite 700 Series X-Pansion Magny Course'. Big enough to take all the little extras I need and strong enough to take a good beating due to the 1682 Denier Armoured Nylon Casing. Already prevented damage to my baby when it took a free fall. Very recommendable.

So can the messenger case not fit the laptop and power supply without looking like a bloated whale? If so, thats pretty useless...
