Sure, I knew you could.

I'll post a review later in the evening after I get this bad boy ready to rumble.

Specs:
60 gig 7200 rpm HD
1 gig of PC 2700 ram
1.7 gHz Dothan
128 MB MR9700
Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Congradulations! I'm looking forward to your review, I'm seriously considering a CL56.

Can't wait to hear from yah, i ordered one last night. The first time I called they didn't have any dothans in stock... yet when i placed the order they said they had all of them. haha.

I won't mind waiting an extra week or two though, this thing is going to have to last me a long while.

congrats...

We have nearly identical configurations (aspire 2025), so i'm curious if they perform similarly on the benchmarks - and if not, maybe that'll be some incentive to bump up the ram to a gig and get a faster harddrive.

I just ordered mine too!

60GB 7200RPM HD
512MB of PC 2700 ram
1.8 gHz Dothan
128mb 9700

Seems everyone is ordering a CL56. Would you all mind posting your thoughts on the screen quality? Thanks

told you tourney, mines supposed to come this week too. forget the battalion
post #9 of 13
Not so fast, that paint job is just too cool. Besides, the only difference between the two lappys is the heat vent that the battalion has on the right side. That's not a big deal at all.

I'm interested in the screen quality as well, since there are a few bad reviews on the CL56's screen...

the 15.1" sxga+ screen here will be the SAME as the one on the acer ferrari, mitac8335, etc..
So, you have disassembled all three of these systems, and the LCD panel is the same model number made by the same manufacturer?
Or, are you saying that the quality is going to be about the same?
I had the pleasure of seeing an SXGA+ screen tonight that is DEFINATELY NOT the same quality as all the rest. It was on forum member: "what?"'s HP nw8000 and it looked AWESOME. The blacks were black and the horizontal and verticle viewing angles were among the best I have seen. I posted a mini-review in another thread.
