FS: Dell M60 with Quadro FX, DVD+RW and more (make an offer)

In December of last year I bought a tiny JVC7310 laptop which I use every day while my Dell Precision M60 sits in its case in my closet. Although I bought it in August of last year, the M60 only has about 3 months of off and on use on it (didn’t have time to do much with it medical school). The laptop is basically in mint condition with no signs of any use. That being said, I want to sell it since I think someone else can use it and I can free up some cash. I have no dire need to sell the machine so make me a reasonable offer and we can talk about it over e-mail.

Of course, you can send me $1900 if you want, but you sure won't get my laptop. =)

Like I said.. that's my first offer.
I priced your config on dell's website last night.
Now bear in mind that some things atre newer versions.
I priced it at around $2800 (US).
Is this close to what you paid?
factor in some depreciation and the fact that computer components are cycled every 6 months, I figure it's worth 75% of MSRP at the most.
If you're serious about selling it, let's discuss through email.

$2800*.75? When you buy the M60, you also pay tax since its through business--you can't obtain the laptop any other way (unless you are a reseller). Laptop components do not cycle every six months either (at least since the advent of Centrino). Centrino "workstation" machines these days cost the same as they did almost a year ago except for the CPU price cuts Intel made. Quite frankly, I have no dire need to sell the machine as I said in my original post and especially not for a $1400 loss. I'd rather keep it for a year or two and then donate it to a church with a nice tax write-off since I would still be ahead from practically giving it away. And yes, the remained of the next-business day 3-year warrenty is transferable. If you are still interested, PM me a response.

As for Centrino, Intel has dumped the future Pentium 4's due to its technical inferiority and chosen Centrino (refer to my post in the general forum). Anyway, let me know if I can help you locate a notebook more in your price range than an M60. Maybe a used 5100 might be the place to start. Have a nice day.
