does ibm give any kind of discount for stock holders... and how would one go about getting one? (a discount that is)

You need xxx quantity of stock, and (if memory serves) you get 15% discount.

YES. My understanding is that one share (about $80) will do it. You are then a certified shareholder.

Hmm I wonder if Microsoft offers the same discount? Probably not..

I wish Sager, Mitac, Compal, Clevo etc... offered the same discount

most stocks just started doing well yesterday... it's at 88.70 right now, add to that $10 for an online stock trading fee (unless you can find it cheaper)

IBM Stockholder Services
You can sign up for a one time investment or recurring investments and they will deduct monthly an amount you decide( $50 min.for 10 consecutive times) directly from your bank and invest this for you the only fees are $18 one time acct. set up fee and $1 dollar per stock purchase. As soon as the 1st purchase is made you are an official shareholder and can take advantage of the discount, even if you only do the minimum of $50 a month because they purchase fractions of stock as well, and they don't care how little you have.
