Phase 1

Hey guys, I stumbled onto your website while researching laptops and decided to take the plunge and get an Area 51M. I placed my order yesterday at about 10:30 AM and as of now I am still in phase 1, what a bummer. They say I should me out of phase 1 by tomorrow. They also stated when I ordered that I should get the the laptop within 7 days. How good are they with delivering on that promise? Also, anyone know if it's possible to pick the system up since I'm in Miami?

No idea about the pickup but nice to see you part of the board. Sit back and relax and get used to the phase game. Just watch out as it will start to eat up all your mind until it arrives. I am now running on about 1/90th of what i started with. My life revolves around pressing the refresh button on my web browser. I hope my package gets here soon.

7 days = bs, within 7 days = even more bs, ill be lucky to get it within 2 weeks.

I hear you Z, going on my 3rd full day and I am know at Phase 2. It appears as if they charged my CC today because I have a hold for the price of the Laptop on the CC. I hope I jump to phase 3 and beyond tomorrow. I doubt it will ship in 7 days though.

Ok guys... if you are on phase 1 just give sales a call and confirm your order. That will get you to phase 2, then you just have to wait. Being stuck on phase 1 is not their fault, but yours. Phase one is them calling you to confirm, and if you aren't around when they call, then they'll call all the others and get back to you later... so call em up and then you can get pissed...

Daegras, I have to disagree with you there. I was stuck at Phase 1 for a couple of days and when I called to find out why yesterday they told me it had something to do with the home telephone number on my CC not matching the telephone number I gave to them. I initially spoke to them about 15 minutes after placing my order but was still in Phase 1 two days after that.

All that being said, Deggs you should call or e-mail them. If you've been at Phase 1 for a week then there has to be some type of problem.

This is very true Blaze. I have heard of hang ups in phase 1-3 due to differences in billing, shipping, and credit card info. Just call em up to dbl check it.

Welcome to the club bro. It took them 7 days EXACTLY from the time I ordered to the time they shipped it. I ordered it last Tuesday and it shiped yesterday... the longest week of my life...

At least you only had a long week... I had a long 2 weeks, then another week for shipping and arrival. it was all worth it though!!

I haven't received the system yet... Its estimated to arrive Saturday... might come Friday though... the only problem is that I ordered it to be shipped to my work address thinking it would come during the week but now it might come Satruday... so i have to come here and open the place up and wait at the reception desk until it comes... ARGGG

Turmoil, that sucks! The way Fedex operates you may need to be there a good part of the day. I hope for your sake they either deliver it Friday or swing by early on Saturday. Keep us posted and let us know when you get it and if there were any problems.

Yeah, I am pretty angry about that... I called FedEx and they said I can't pick it up until after attmepted delivery... so they said I should call Saturday Morning and get an estimated delivery time fot the machine... so i will let you guys know... note to all FED EX SUCKS!!! UPS is MUCH better.

They gave me the tracking number and the estimated delivery is Saturday... they told me it might get here sooner (like Friday) but its guaranteed by Saturday...

Well, I'm at Phase 3 now. If we continue to move this slow through phases I wont have my lappy till Christmas. 4 days to receive payment?!?
