m6805 Airplane Power Adapter - Page 2

So is it confirmed if you force your laptop into a mobile profile it will draw less then 90W and not blow out the air planes power outlets? I've got a 14.5hr flight coming up Vancover to Manila and would LOVE it if my M6807 worked the whole way.

t its's lowest power state it draws only .95 volts. At full speed it is pulling 1.4v. That alone will significantly reduce the power consumption. I have no idea what an airplane's power outlet is rated at though, so I have no clue from personal experience if it will blow it or not. If it were me, I would lock it at it's lowest speed setting, turn ATI PowerPlay on and lock the GPU at it's lowest setting, and make sure the battery is fully charged before getting on the plane so the charging circuit is not needed.

I just put the machine in the Max Battery or Portable/Desktop so it would run in the lower power state, and had 0 problems.

In fact, I bought one of the Targus 120W power adapters that can be used from A/C and D/C power (model 300), and then you don't have to lug around 2 power adapters.
aferrari, can you confirm which brand and model the #44 tip is listed for. I'm trying to find it on Targus website and I'm not having any luck. I know it won't be listed for the emachine. All of these vendors seem to thing the last eMachine was the eslate. Thanks
