I have the same machine purchased from a local store. It is very nice. I installed Suse 9.1 Linux on it and it discovered all the hardware flawlessly except the wireless and the SD memory card. All the rest works great in Linux. The screen is great, sound is pretty tinny unless I use headphones, but I didn't buy the machine for the sound.
I do have a question about the system. I would like to boot off of an external USB hard drive as an alternative OS. The BIOS that came with my system does not have that option. Do any of the folks who have this machine have a BIOS that enables booting from USB? I can manage booting off of a CD-ROM and then running off of the external drive, but I would like to do a native boot. Any one else using Linux with this system, or tried alternative booting?
