Remove battery-is there a dummy cover?

Just got a 5660. I must admit I was rather worried about ordering a notebook sight unsean but my fears were ungrounded. Very sweet, very fast and Win2k and the administrator tools installed without a hitch.

Is there a battery-cover available? Leaving the battery in to top-off every time AC power is cycled just shortens it's life. My laptop will only see limited battery use, so I keep it out and only deep cycle it once a month or so. A dummy cover makes a lot of sense. Is there such a thing for this notebook?

Definitely a sweet machine.

This is a good question. I would like to know that as well, but I am thinking that there isn't one (for some reason I get the feeling that I've read somewhere that there isn't one...). I would like to know if it ships with a bracket... I will post a new thread so people can see it. But I think that since there are legs on the laptop battery, it would be prudent to keep it in there. PCTorque said that there are alternate legs... if those are the same height, then great, but if they're smaller, then consider the heat in the laptop if it were closer to the surface than it already is.
