Has anyone tried installing one of the newer dvd burner drives in an older (Lat. c-series/Insp. pre-8200) system using the modular bays? I was able to put a Toshiba SD-R6012 drive in one... but the 1x burn speed takes forever to burn a dvd. I'm interested to know if any of the newer NEC drives (or any other 4x drives you may know of?) can be broken down and installed in the mod. bay casing. Any takers?
