I just got my new 8600 today, I had returned a refurb one I had purchased due to quite a few problems I had with it. The refurb one had an XGA screen and a 32 MB Graphics Card, which I wished the laptop had better resolution; so on the new 8600 I ordered it with a SXGA screen and a 64 MB card.
This is where the idiot part comes in, I had read some people found the text to be to small with this screen; but I had no idea it would be this small.
I play on a site called Pogo, and no matter what I try the games load there with both the game and chat sections so small that I'm unable to play or chat.
I thought I had pretty good eyesight, but you must have to have perfect 20/20 to be able to cope with the text sizes on this type of screen, I'm guessing the text would look the same on any brand SXGA screen, correct me if I am wrong. I got "blessed" with a Helltachi screen, which also has considerable leakage and etc.. Which finally leads me to my question. With a 64 MB Graphics Card and a XGA screen, the the higher MB card wouldn't effect the text size on a XGA screen would it? The past two laptops have been my first experience with the 15.4 screens. Thanks for any help in advance.
