Issue after install of Omega Driver

So I tried to install the Omega driver last night for my notebook. It appeared the install went ok.. I Had to reboot. Did that, then when it got to the point to where I have to pick which acct I want to sign onto windows with.. the screen just went blank. I rebooted a few times with the same problem. Obviously something went wacky. So I had to go into safe mood, uninstall the Omega driver and install the old one back on.

Any reason why the omega driver would have done this?

Don't know as I've only used Omega drivers with an ATI. Don't take offense to my "noob" advice but I know I sometimes overlook painfully simple mistakes. Things like making sure the old drivers got uninstalled and making sure you installed the correct (not the ATI) Omega drivers. I think I also read on the site that they may not support all of the Nvidia cards just yet, but if you email the guy he'll add it to the next release. I would look into it at least. Sorry I couldn't help more. Maybe someone with the same card as you can help out more.

No, I appreciate the tips...

One thing I did not do was uninstall the old driver before I installed the Omega.. so that may have played into my problem.

I put my ID's in my profile. When I am at work I only use AIM. On the weekends and at night you might catch me on MSN.

If you IM me and I don't respond I'm probably actually doing some work but I'll get back to you.

The Farcry thing worries me as that is exactly the game I was planning on installing this weekend. I guess we will have to compare notes. I ran the demo ok before I did a clean install and updated the drivers. We'll have to see how it goes.
