Doesn't Hypersonic want to make a sale?

Do they respond to emails? I think I've finally decided on my notebook purchase and I think I want to buy from Hypersonic but I've getting no responses to any of a variety of email questsions that I've sent to them. What's up with that?

When did you send them? And, why not just call them. Also, i dont think they would care about 1 sale, im sure they have more than enough.

Some people can answer questions faster on the phone than type via e-mail (like me). I'm sure they would love your business. It does suck- a complete business covers all types of sales.

same here last few time ive emailed questions, i never received answers

Did you consider your email title? Might get picked up by their SPAM filters, try calling.

They didn't reply to my email either.. They were my first choice but instead i've gone with Gamepc.

They just lost 2 sales according to this thread. Bad customer service does hurt..

Make it 3... they didn't respond to my email in time... I ended up going with PCTorque... When I was ready to go with Hypersonic.

When they eventually answered the email... it was to my satisfaction (and the same answer I got quicker from PCTorque).

So they lost out on me too.

Too bad that something so small should cost you a tweaked, burned in, no-dead-pixel'd system. Really makes me wonder why you guys didn't just call. Ah well, your loss.

For the record, they've taken a little (a day or two) to answer the emails I've sent, but each was lengthy, and very well written. Much better than the form-style garbage at Dell, at any rate.

Actually, it didn't cost me that cuz gamepc is also giving me a tweaked, 72 hours burned in, 30 day no dead pixel system.
also for about 200 dollars less.

it's been over 2 weeks and they have not responded to my email..
Oh well, u win some u lose some i guess. they can't get all the customers

Every single sale adds up, i guarentee if we keep this thread alive you can see how many people get turned away by slow emails and unreturned calls.

Why is that? Did i miss something?

It's been about two or three days for me and I haven't heard from Hypersonic either. But then again, it hasn't been all that long. If they don't respond to me sometime by the middle of next week, then I'll figure I won't hear from them at all.

It's always possible that they just don't have enough people to answer all the inquiries that they get and in a timely manner. They may be understaffed in that way. I'd have a difficult time believing that they read emails and just don't care, that would be stupid.

I emailed Sager quite awhile back and never did get a response. Unless they've improved, their response to customer emails was horrible.

I'm interested in a Hypersonic GX7, so I'll see if they're interested in responding. I want answers to my questions but no one wants to chase after these guys either. People want them to care enough to respond to their emails.

Time will tell...

To temper, when I used to hunt for the 8890, I sent them an e-mail and they replied within an hour.

There's currently a new mass-mailing worm filling e-mail accounts with junk (and the &"$^# worm generates random mail subjects), so that might be the problem.

Thanks for all the feedback and different points of view. It was just frustrating because the other places I emailed responded so fast. PC torque, Powernotebooks and even discountlaptops are all so helpful and full of good information for a newbie like me.

I felt the same way.. I emailed 4 places on the same day.. 2 replied to me within the hour and 2 others have yet to reply to me. Pc torque is definately a good place to buy from.

agreed, after searching for the perfect vendor i ended up ordering from my own boss she ussualy answers my questions in person within a few minutes, (ADD)

yeah but consider how many emails hypersonic gets compared to pctorque. consider the ratio of how many people email a company compared to how many buy an expensive computer, i myself have emailed almost all of the big companies hypersonic, voodoo, fnw, pctorque, sager, most several times. and im not going to buy like a computer for every reply iv gotten. iv emailed hypersonic a couple times and theyve respnded to half my emails sofar, and slowly. fnw on the other hand has emailed me back everytime within a couple hours, that doesnt mean im going to buy from fnw, im still going to look for the best deal, not the nicest emails

The issue is confidence in a company you have yet to buy from.

From my perspective... I wanted a few quick answers (in writting) so I could make my final determination between two companies.

I waited an extra day for Hypersonic... It took 2 days.

The way I perceived it was that, if sales doesn't respond in a timely manner... what am I to expect from technical support?

I guess you can tell me I looked at it "wrong"... but in this case, it just meant that almost $5,000 went to someone else. (So I'd argue that it is "their loss".)

I never felt right about buying "insurance" to guarantee something I expect (a perfect pixel screen). So I was pretty sure I'd get an imperfect one... but that isn't why I didn't buy from them.

Also, they were more expensive.

Another issue was that their systems take longer to ship (usually longer then they originally state if you belive quite a few of the posters on this fourm).

As for the burn in... that's a good thing they do (along with the Arctic Silver), but if something goes wrong, how long until they respond to my email?

The reason I didn't call was because before making a purchase of this size, I would like to get a few of my answers "on the record". Also, in this case, it was a Wednesday before their business hours when I made the request. They got back to me after hours on Friday night. I went with PC Torque on Friday afternoon.

^^
... all that said, I'd still buy from them in a second. It came down to two and was pretty much a coin toss... those "small" issues were what made the difference.
