Acer 8003 LCD Question

Thread Starter
The bottom left corner of the screen has a slight reddish tint on a completely white screen. This is my first notebook but I am assuming this is what is called a "bleeding LCD". Anyone else have similar problems with Acer screens? Since I just got the laptop I am assuming the warranty covers this.

I hadn't noticed anything before, but after reading your post I stared for a while at a blank screen on my 8003 and I *think* I can see an almost imperceptible pinkish hue on the lower left corner. But to me it seems like a normal viewing angle artifact for this type of screen. That, or suggestion is a powerful thing.

placebo maybe?

Mine seems fine. I kept staring to see something, but could not.

This may be caused by the same effect as when you press your finger on the screen and see the discoloration. The edges of the screen are "pinched" into the casing, thus they are always being pressed like you would with your finger, only to a smaller degree.
