Joy Division = Old Order?
holy cow. what happened joy? I figured that you got your system and just left us like most people do. what kind of backoreder was holding you up?

same news...same batchannel

No mate....I've just been quietly waiting.

Rachael told me that there was a back order problem with my 2gb memory.Although I doubt this;as when I asked to change to 1 gb of memory(to get the order moving again)she said it would make no difference. Also then I'd be back at stage 1.

Unsurprisingly,I opted to wait it out.

Reading between the lines,I think there was no backorder,I just think there manufacturing dept is massively oversubscribed.(Obviously I don't hold customer services responsible for that.)Either way Rachael told me to ring back on Thursday(tomorrow)and she'd put me on priority Friday.
Anyway the phone call wasn't needed as I moved to phase 9 earlier than expected, hence the thanks.

Joy Division were the old order......thank god they're not new order.Bernard wants gassing for his recent murdering of Transmission on Later with Jules Holland.

Anyway,thanks for the intrest lads.

my luck

ive had good luck on my odering phases, phase 3 was accomplished when i placed the order, then i woke up and it was at phase 9 less then 10 hours later. lets hope its at 14 when i wake up tomamrow

That would explain why I'm in phase three for over a week now. If they don't update their site in the next 2-3 days from now I'm definetly giving them a call about the status of my order.
As long as they're doing something I'm somewhat satisfied, but if my order is sitting idle or totally discarded and long forgotten than I'm probably going to get pissed.

If you call them, they will tell you exactly what phase you are in. Do not grow frustrated that your status is not moving step by step, minute by minute.
You aint kidding ...

Sitting in Phase 3 for weeks then sudenly moving to phase 5 yesterday I thought I woulod give them a bell just to see what's said !

Geeeze, Im glad I did !

One question, where do AW get these lovely ploite talking ladies from for the phones ? Never herd such excellent telephone manners in my life from any other compmany ive dealt with before !

Anyway ... The lovely lady tells me that the construction stage is just about wrapped up and they are putting my baby in for testing where she will stay for 24 hours ...

If all goes well then its out the factory door and then into my hands Monday or Tuesday

Wont make my online gaming session this weekend but, Oh well, nevermind, as long as I can feel the power real soon !

I got a question. On the website, the phases are supposedly "random" but, will it ever show a phase ahead of your actual phase? Ever situation I've read, it seems the website phases were only equal to or behind the true phase.

Don't bump 9 month old threads. What do you mean? I mean if your in phase 6, then you'll into phase 7, I mean its in numerical order. So if your in phase 6 you want it to say "Your going to be in phase 7 soon." ?
I apologize for "bumping," most forums I go to generally don't mind if it is a stickied thread. I also didn't think I was supposed to ask questions in new threads, since all other new threads were actual posts on their computer's phases.

What I mean is, will they ever accidentally put that it is in phase 7, when in fact it is only in phase 6?
No problem with bumping this thread...

Here's the story on the phases: They aren't perfect .

AW does not always do a great job of updating the phases. This probably has to do with how busy they are, etc. So, phases are a general indication of how your system is moving ... but if you're really obsessive about it, you'll want to call AW to confirm where you are in the system... the important phases are 1) order received, 3) payment processed, and 9-10) system shipping (or something along those lines).

Good Luck!
Thanks shazza. I'll just be patient, no matter how many times I ask or check, it'll ship on the same day.

My original question was that I understand that they are sometimes "behind" on the phases, would they ever be "ahead" in the phases. For example, would the phases ever say your laptop was in production, when in fact it was still in pre-production. However, I don't think it matters in the long run because I'm sure I'll be notified when it ships.
I'm sure it could show a higher than reality phase, but it would be completely accidental.

After my first order, and my first two months of playing the phase game, this time around, I'm just waiting for my "shipped" email. It's being delivered to my office, so I don't really care when it shows up.

Congrats on the purchase.
