And does anybody have any idea which one is right.(I talked to the machine not a real person when I called)

Hi everyone, my order has been in the boxing stage for 5 days. Why don't they throw it in the box already!!!!
Don't rely on the website for an accurate status. I have been through it three times and they have all been VERY fast. My PC's have all gone from being ordered and shipped in 48 hours.
In your case they may be waiting for a part... I definitely don't think the status is reliable. It is just a tool for them to keep the customer from calling all the time. (In your case it didn't work) haha

Boxing includes shipping from Singapore to the States (I assume you are in the USA?).

BTW, the website is not always as up to date as it should be, it is generally within a few hours but has been known to be off by a few days (some have recieved it while its supposedly still passing customs!)

Is this a fact that they are built in singapore? Just curious, i thoguht they were made in the US. So boxing stage will take the longest? I'm just curious as mine is in boxing too and has been there for a day or two already. So they box it and boxing includes the time it takes to ship to the US distribution is what I'm understanding? So then Dell will ship it out again from the US once it has arrive in Singapore???

What? You're back-to-front and inside-out here. The boxing stage commences pretty much at the end of production, it includes obviously boxing it up, and then also shipping it from Singapore to its destination (The Singapore facility supports North America as well as South East Asia and the Pacific... there is also one in Ireland that supports Europe and I think there's one more someplace else...).

Once it arrive at its destination country it must pass customs, and then it is processed and put into the ands of local despatch which get it too your door.

nice explanation, so boxing is part of the shipping to the us? so what is the stage where they say shipping prep? is that after the customs? man it wld make more sense if they shipped it direct to me from dell singapore, rather than ship it to dell here and then ship again to me.

Correct, Boxing on that page is to box it up and ship it to the appropriate country, then it will change to customs which is a different step, shipping prep, shipping, you know the drill
