digital cameras - Page 3

I'm surprised no one has the Sony T-1 here.

I bought it in early June for my trip to Italy and it is the coolest camera I've ever used. Not only does it have 5.1 Mp, but there is no carrying around cases and pouches to store the camera. It fits right in your Jean front pocket. It comes with a docking station/ recharger.

THe only con is the price. And you will probably need the extended battery and 256mb card (which are also pricey and considering the card is a NEW format of sony cards...it runs a lot higher than the other sony cards)

I just recently got the minolta Z1.

Features:
10X Optical Zoom (equivalent 38 - 380mm zoom)
4x Digital Zoom
SLR Style
Uses Secure Digital Memory Cards
Uses 4x AA (either NI-MH or Alkaline)
3.2 MP

Pluses:

Cons
Audio in Movie Mode is tinny

Bottom Line it is a very good camera for the price.

The canon is great, so many ways to customize your photos, I can shoot in direct sunlight with perfect color.

Just an update. I had an A80, but recently exchanged it for a Canon Powershot S1 IS. I really love the camera. It has all the A80's features, but has a 10x zoom with image stabilization. It's not as good in low light as the A80, but if you want good pictures, you need to be in decent light anyway. I can wholeheartedly recommend the A80 or the S1.

I have the C-740 which is 3 mp and also the Sony CD500 which is 5 mp and uses a mini cd as its recording media. Both take great pictures. I use the Olympus for distance shots and the Sony for close ups. The Sony has the biggest lcd screen of any digital camera I have seen - the Olympus has a much smaller lcd screen. (I prefer the viewfinder and a tripod with the Olympus.)
I have the Olympus C-750. Very pleased with its performance. Taken atleast 3000 pics with it already. The only fault I have with it is low light focusing, but most digitals seem to have this problem.

If I would buy another digital camera, I would go again with Canon or Nikon. Just don't know about Minoltas, but I would never buy a Sony. Not because the quality is bad. No!!. It's for the flash card option. I _only_ use SD/MMC cards, so I don't need to buy lots of cards...

right now i have a fujifilm f700. i HIGHLY recomend this camera. it's tiny, fts in any of my pockets easily, takes amazing pictures (6.2mp!!), and has one of the best movie modes of any digicam available right now (640x480 or 320x240 for the whole memory card). as i mentioned before, it takes awesome pictures. the colors are unlike any i have seen before. there's an automatic mode for the un-technically inclined people, and a full-manual mode, some very few point and shoot camera's have. it costs only about $350 right now, but will soon be replaced with the f710

hmm less than a month and my a80 has been overtaken by the a95. Technology

Anyone interested in the a75 or a80, this is time to shop around, with the a85 and a95 just launched.

The a95 is sweet, it builds on the a80 and the larger lcd is a huge plus. Of course its selling for 150 more than the a80.

I have a sony P10. It's okay, but honestly sony's cameras just arent that good. I got it for free, but if i ever bought one, it would DEFINITELY be a canon, whether it was a compact, mid level or SLR. Canons are the best DCs in my IMO.
