Which of these would you recommend? What are the pros and cons, etc.

Ya, no kidding. Such a hard decision. I'm leaning towards the 5660 because of the nicer display and its' the same as the alienware so it must be pretty sweet for gaming. But I like all the features and the screen size of the 8880. But I don't like how big the machine itself is.

Wish I could see them side by side in real life.

That thing looks huge! I'm guessing that it's not exactly nice to haul around if you're going to be doing lots of hauling around?

5660 looks cooler... ;-)

But why

Does the sager machines only have a 4200 RPM drive when the 5400 drive is so much faster and relatively inexpensive. I'm a Dell user looking to make the move over to either Sager, Area 51 by Alienware, or the Toshiba 16" P4 machine. Does it make any sense to strangle a fast machine like the sager with an arthritic hard drive?

About there hard drives...just second...there, found it.
I emailed them about why they have a 60 G option on their spec's page, but why you cannot actually Configure one to have it.
I did this while browsing TechIMO, and within 15 min. I had a reply! (Oh - this was powernotebooks.com btw; great service
Anyways:
"Hello John,

Thank you for your inquiry!

Toshiba has temporarily withdrawn the 60GB hard drive from the market
due to technical problems they are having with it. They tell us that
they will be available again "sometime" in November, but until we
actually have them we cannot be sure.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Thanks,

Donald Stratton
