IR problems "puzzled"

I am using a Sony Ericsson T68i and I have IR turned on on the phone

I have tooled around and looked in my device manager and everything looks good to go with the Sager IR...

I am not being able to sustain an IR connection

everytime i put the 2 devices close by one another after about one minute

the 2 items will communicate for about a 30 - 45 sec window and then stop and never reconnect, on my Dell 8100 (with this phone, very recently) it was easy as pie and picked it up immediately and just stayed connected

any updated driver or any info someone can help me get this to work....?


Could I have a bad IR reciver on my 5660? Is there a way to test it, I know on my Dell I had to turn it on in the BIOS ...but don't see anything on the 5660 for IR in BIOS

Hi Dan,

had the same problem.

Reboot the laptop and use F2 to get into the BIOS.
At advanced I/O settings, set IR to IRDA (deafult is FIR), then it works just fine
