What'd you guys pay for yours?

If I elected to get the 1350 (heard it was better), do I still get that neat Centrino sticker and load screen?

No Centrino logo or sticker if you have the Dell card. I'm not that fond of the logo anyways, I like the P-M one better.

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 3a

Moral is low. So are snack supplies. There's no one to talk too. I think I'm going crazy, and I'm hearing voices... Oh, wait, that's only my sister coming home from school...

Estimated ship date is 6/8/04, quite a big difference from the 6/25/04 date the site gives.
Man oh man, just when I thought I was learning things, I find out about coupons and discounts! I guess I should read that sticky thread carefully before ordering. Did you order online or by phone? Does it matter in terms of deals?

Some people have been able to get sales reps to drop the price (the rep gets a commision, so they don't want you to order off the website), but all I got from him was a $50 rebate for opening a preferred customer account. I might have been able to get more off by saying that I would just order it off the website so I could do it on my own time, but I didn't want to push it. (I was already getting about $550 of the listed price).

Some have also said that if you call back within the 21 day return period, they will offer you as couple hundred to keep it. I might try this.

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 3b

Growing tired of answering stupid questions from posters about keeping them informed when it is obvious that I am keeping a (multi)daily log.

In other news, it appears as though my frequent refreshing of the status page will not make Dell box my latop faster. Must keep hope alive.....

Just kidding John

hes just messing around,

if you feel that you could have got a better deal with this weeks deals, cancel your order and reorder, it'll take a bit longer but you won't feel like you got ripped off.

who knows, when you call your sales rep and cancel and when you tell that you are cancelling because of the price differance, they might help you out. ( they might not)

point is you should be happy with your purchase

Wooster's Log - Earthdate 6.3.04.c

After briefly exploring the strange world outside my house on a trip to Best Buy, we returned to find the status of my computer still at "boxing." I am awaiting the new laptop, because my present laptop is giving me all shes got, and its not enough. Meanwhile, the status on the remote has not changed since DHL confirmed a pickup from Dell last night. End transmission.

Damnit John, I'm a student, not a comedian!

(Notice I said I was just kidding at the bottom of the other post.)

Too bad there wasn't a smiley of someone flat out bawling, I wanted to use that one instead.

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 4

Still in "boxing" stage, hopefully it will be out of it by tonight, but not likely.

The remote has reached the "sort facility." It took 1 and a half days to get there from Dell, but its kind of odd that it went from Texas to Ohio before its sorted to come out to Oregon. Anyways, it DHL the same as Airborne Express? Dell says the carrier is Airborne Express, but the tracking is through DHL.

I think they might be the same company just differnt divisions. I am just guessing because where I work, I sometimes work in recieving, and we get packages from both DHL and Airborne Express.

So my guess would be that they may be the same company but differnt divisions, and only do tracking though one of their websites.
