What shipping option did you go with? Mine got to Michigan and to my office before the UPS website showed anything. I had free 2nd day shipping though.

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 7c

Crucial shipped the RAM today, but no tracking info yet.

The real reason why I posted is that I just got the tracking info on the laptop. It is in Portland, and hour north or here, so I may get my laptop today!!!!!!!!!!

(In case you can't tell, I'm excited)

I'm a little lost on my UPS information. It says when I go to the ups site through the link on the dell site that "Billing Imformation has been received." It's been this way scince Sat. When will I be able to see what city it's in and such?
It means that Dell has electronically sent them the shipping label information for processing - prior to the shipment actually having left Dell's loading dock. When UPS takes possession of the shipment and scans it into their system, the detail information for the shipment will get updated/posted.

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 7d

No status change on the laptop since it arrived in Portland (OR). I hope that it will be here tomorrow, and the RAM should be here the day after that.

Anyone know exactly how the "Remote Control for Dell Media Experience" works and if I can get it to work with my HP desktop?
It works off of IR signal I think. My 8600 has the IR port on the left side. But I'm not sure if the 8600c models has the same IR port or not. It may work off of radio signals but I doubt it. Most remotes work off of light signals that have to have a receiver in the line of sight. Fars as a HP being able to work with it depends on if it can be reprogram to different remotes.

Yeah, it has an external receiver, but when I pugged it in, my computer stated lagging and it didn't do anything despite it saying that it had found software for it. (I think thats what it said)

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 8

Laptop departed from Portland last night/this moring, so it will be here today. The RAM will be here tomorrow. Kind of weird, the RAM had an origin scan in Boise, ID yesterday, then departed Boise at 6:30, and then proceeded to arrive in Boise at 7:00. I'm not sure what was going on, but its not weather related, cause I checked.

Wooster's Daily Report - Day 8b

My laptop was delivered today. Unfortunately, I was asleep. (Who thought they'd get here before 10 am) Anyways, I'm going to call and see if there is anyway I can pick it up or have them deliver it again.

You might be told that the truck is still out for delivery elsewhere. I had a friend who missed a computer delivery, so he called and asked for the location of the truck, and he drove to meet the guy and get the computer from him wherever he was.

My mom missed some deliveries once, supposedly the UPS guy should try your house 2 more times in the day before he goes back to the hub.
