I have been reading alot about the AMD64 bit chips and I have a few questions...
I hope to know soon whether the chip is the current socket 745 or the newer fx-53 socket 939 coming out...but I'm sure the notebook world is going to have to wait for that.
Also, the current NP4750V specs (on the machine I would get at least) are as follows: (just a quick overview from my memory
17" WXSGA+ 1440 x 900 Wide-Screen Monitor (
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor (This is better than fx-51 but not as good as fx-53)
1028 MB PC3200 Ram
ATI Radeon 9700 Mobile 128 MB (why not 256..heating perhaps?)
60 GB Harddrive (7200 RPM too
Is this top of the line NP4750 going to be able to outperform the 8790? I mean an 8790 with 3.4 (no EE), 1028 Ram, 256 ATI 9700 7200 60 GB HD. I hear the 64 bit chip is great for games.
Anyone have experience with the 64 bit chip versus the HT p4 on gaming?
