Same graphics card the 1.6ghz hits 10,000 3D marks. And the 2.4Ghz P4M hits just over 9000 3D marks.
You use CPU tests to compare the CPUs, not 3Dmark 2001. It will hardly be affected by the CPU. You say same graphics card, but they can often be clocked different, and use different speed memory in the video. There are 3 different speeds RAM you can get for the ATI 9000 alone off the top of my head.
We have an Acer with the 1.6GHZ Centrino that we're planning on offering. Fron our testing though it doesn't TOUCH the 2.6GHZ in CPU testing of any kind. Sure, it's right up there with 3DMARK, but that means nothing to the CPU in this setup.
