Would you mind telling me where you ordered and what they told you in regards to stock situation and how many are on backorder........I would just like to have some idea how long I would have to wait if I ordered today........ I have been following it for a few days but that doesn't answer my question now does it? I know that there is supposed to be a shipment in on the 16th but seeing there are so many people interested in this laptop, I just want an idea of where I might be in the queue. Personally, I am pretty keen on PCTorque and am in discussion with them.

You asked where he ordered and the stock situation. If you read the thread you would know that he ordered it from Newegg and that it was in stock when he did so. I also told how to determine what the stock level is. And finally, the Newegg link clearly shows the estimated date they are getting more stock. There is no queue, when they come back in stock it's first come, first served. So yes, I think your questions have been answered.

Yes, but I don't see his name anywhere else in the thread so I didn't jump to any conclusions of where he bought it. Anyway, thanks for the info. Checked out their website...lots of stuff. I didn't realise there was no queue, I thought people could be placed on backorder. No worries.....

MrKnowsIt, I want to graduate again just to see if I can get a gift like this! What are your comments on the screen/viewing angles? The 15" SXGA+ seem to be sometimes a little controversial. Thanks for the info.

heh I can't wait until some major stores over here in Canada get this in stock...my only concern is the 4200rpm hard drive, which will slow down installs quite a bit, but I guess that's replaceable at a later date.

Can anyone comment on the viewing angle? Adam?

**Nevermind, I see your review is up.
