Question + Help

Just got a 8600 5 days back. This is the config,
PM-1.6, 15.4 WUXGA, 512, 60gb7200, ATI etc etc.

Now the problem is i got 2 dead pixels. One came up almost 3 hrs after the 1st one, or perhaps they were there from before and i didnt notice. using native resolution of 1900x1280

Now the question, what the heck should i do? Try for a change? (already tried massaging the thing, as suggested, but dosent seem to be working, how long should i be massaging the damm pixel
?????

Any suggestion etc would do.

Dell's pixel policy conforms with industry standards, that is that <= 5 dead pixels is acceptable, so long as they are not all grouped in one area. If you really want you can demand a replacement, but keep in mind that if the screen is otherwise good you are running the risk of getting one with worse problems...... 1 or two dead pixels is not too bad but its up to you.
