Hey Darth, I prefer the term Necrohipposadism myself. Beating a dead horse sounds so, er.......collum rufus.

You sure don't act like it. If I had mod powers I would ban you. Personal attacks are not a good way to earn respect.

Seems to me the larger RAM might come in useful for future, more intense games/applications. Any thoughts on this subject?

The larger ram will be useful, but for now 1GB should be sufficient. The only reason I can think of that theyhave that "Best Performance" on the 1GB is that is what it said bfore they even offered 2GB in the configurator and maybe they forgot to move it to the 2GB option.

It is weird though.

You will get better performance using 1gig PC3200 vs. 2gig PC2700 RAM.

Doh! I did not even notice that it was 2700 instead of 3200....makes more sense now.

Ummm, you do realize that your question was answered by several people saying the same thing. So what if we got off topic, you got your answer and this was a dead topic. So no need to be a jerk.

Volvagia,

I take exception to your reference to me as a jerk. My statement was placed not so much to offend, but to pull this thread of mine (which was careening out of control) away from the flaming forum it had become. I would add this was done so with great success . . . that is, until you had to call me a "jerk".

Good thing you didn't add that bit about the topic being a success.

Cause then I would have to make a comment on your thinking that repetition is productive and how you would be good management material as a result.

Like I said, the topic was dead, so who cares if what is happening here is off topic. And trust me, what was up there wasn't a flame....it was an initiation. It was just comical, which was how it was supposed to be (At least, thats how Darth intended it).

But I don't want a real flame war between us, so if you want to reply to what I just said, IM me via Yahoo.
