Toshiba does not make there service manuals available to the public and i don't have either of the two you inquire about. I have noticed tho someone selling a cd of toshiba service manuals on e-bay.

I know they don't. But, I am an A+ Cert. tech, well - before I came to England - and I used to work for Best Buy, CompUSA and some corporate IT repair rigs. I know that techs can actually login into Toshiba Partner Website and download these manuals in PDF format. I was hoping that someone on this forum might work for a Toshiba Certified company and would download these manuals for me.

The manuals on e-bay are for mostly older models, like CDX and stuff. I can take those apart and put together blindfolded. I need to know the inner configuration of the ones I have; they are both less than 6 mos. old.

I was thinking of modding my old laptop A15-S127. However, I usually do not do anything half assed. Replacing HDD's and Upgrading memory and swapping out parts is not a big deal. It is a big job, like modding the laptop, however, that requires assiduous preparation and schematic. That’s why I need those manuals.

Is there anyone at all who can obtain a service manual from Toshiba?! Please!
I have looked all over the web/ including the silly e bay. It is funny; those guys on e bay are offering mostly 'user's manuals' and not 'service' manuals. I wonder if people fall for it.

If any of you guys are technicians, working for a Toshiba certified/partner company, there must be a way for you to log in to their extranet and download service manual.

Please help, if you can.

Service Manual

Anyone with a service manual for a 3005-S307? Need it really badly.

Would like to find a service manual for the Toshiba Satellite 1000/1005 series.

I want to take it apart and see if I can possibly discover it's MANY problems.

I don't want to PRY or force the thing apart and when I remove all the bottom and side screws there seems to be still something holding the case .....................
Thanks

I got access to service manuals but only for Canadian models..

d0dg3man,
I'm not familuar with Canadian models, I would even settle for a schematic of the 1000/1005 series.

Thanks

Got the 1005 apart...fairly easy once the keyboard is off......
Smell no burning....or burned areas
no apparent visable problems....all boards appear clean and intact....
When memory is completely removed, the MB beeps 4 shorts as it should.....
Fan is coming on and cycling...
Power supply (on cord) light is on and checks out for proper voltage......

Is there anyway to check each card for working order?

The computer does nothing now, where before I did at least have video...though it was nothing but garbled lines (horizontal)

Any thoughts ideas would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
