I'm so happy to hear you are liking your laptop. I just ordered my mitac 8050 today, should ship out the 16th (due to 2Ghz Dothan delays...)

Well, maybe after cycling it a while, the battery life will increase. Also, making sure it stays at 600mhz using speedswitchXP might insure a better battery life.

glad you like the thing....i want pics god damn it!

As far as I know, the Dothan will only recognize DDR333.
At lest the current Dothan, the next Cenrtinos will be able to use the 400 DDR.

Congrats on the new system (I am catching up on posts after being gone for a week). Glad to hear everything is working out for you.

One of the complaints I had on my system was also the DVD drive. It was noisy when winding up and using it. However, the GX7 had a device change the week my system was shipped and offered me a free upgrade (to include custom painted). It just arrived and it is silent and smooth.

Take care and again, congrats!

azstinger, you should be able to do it with CPU-Z (freeware) http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/966149377/1

I checked with cpu-z and it does recognize it as PC 3200 memory! Now is it just reading the specs of the memory or is it saying it's operating at pc3200??
it will recognize the memory as PC3200 based on it's specs, not it's actually operating frequency. The operating frequency should be below
post #40 of 40
the chipset will not physically allow the memory to run at pc 3200... case closed
