5690 Audio DJ controls

I'm having trouhle getting the 5690's multimedia control (audio DJ) keys to work. the drivers is installed, the volume control works, but the keys do not, even under WMP 9 (whith which they supposidly work). I am trying to get them to work with winamp 5.03. but i can't get them working with the native wmp yet.

I went over the 87xx guide for it's buttons, no luck there, guess ther're different.
anyone have any ideas?

If you want a more full-featured DJ solution, I'd recommend PC DJ Red and the DAC 200 controller. Here's the info:

i'm taking about the front buttons on the 5690, not an external solution.

The front Audio DJ buttons to my knowledge don't work unless the computer is powered off. I thought only the volume buttons work in windows. The others only work when the unit is powered off and then you turn on the DJ functions via front switch.
