I've got a similar setup for my desktop:

P4C800DX
P4 2.4 @ 3.3GHz
ATI 9800 Pro
2 x 256Mb COrsair @2-3-2-5

I get 18,500 on 3DMark 2001

did you oc from 2.4 to 3.3ghz ?
and did you modify anything on the video card?

i ran everything on the default settings for both desktop and 8790 except set the 8790's video card to 460/290 as suggested by adam. i don't even touch the 3d or open gl settings.

by the way, you have 512mb memory ram on the system?

Yes. The 2.4GHz chip is overclocked to 3.3GHz & ATI Radeon 9800 Pro @ stock speeds & 512Mb of ram in total.

You may want to adjust these results to be with their correct respective lable, as it appears you've switched the v2001se results with that of the v2003 results,

jiber172r,

for some reasons my bios allows me to oc up to 20% which is from 2.4 to 2.88 ghz .. if i oc it to 30% which is about 3.12ghz then the tests only run partial then quit. so, i oc the cpu from 2.4 to 2.88ghz and run the tests.

here is the rsult:
3dmark03: 5658
3dmark2001se: 16256

don't know how you did on both oc (3.3ghz) and test (18,500) .. but that is all i got.

note: again, i don't touch the 3dmark03 and 3dmark2001se tests. i don't touch the video's card gpu either.
