I ordered this last week and it arrived last Friday. I've got wireless set up in the house - works great. Played a few games of warcraft 3 - runs great in 1024 with options lowered. (I was worried with integrated graphics but it's ran very well so far) Battery life is OK if you're just word processing/internet browsing, but any intense applications will suck it dry REAL fast. I just ordered the extended-life 8cell battery from Fujitsu. It was like $170 shipped but I really need to have longer life.
Let's see...what else. The SCREEN. It's XGA 1024x768 but it's Crystal View! Looks absolutely gorgeous. Obviously SXGA would look better with Crystal View, too. But I think I'd take this over a normal SXGA screen anyday. CV is glorious.
I'll post more about the laptop when I get home tonight - maybe throw up some pictures.
Does the S-Series (6210) have a SXGA or greater resolution screen? I think I remember seeing most mid-ranged Fujitsu's being XGA only. I know the N-series supports high resolution...
Oh well - XGA is really the only drawback to this notebook. I am only using the laptop for schoolwork/internet and the occasional warcraft 3 game (have desktop for Far Cry and UT2k4) - so the screen res and video card arent huge issues. Although it's always nice to fit more workspace on the screen. If it was a non-CV XGA screen I'd jump off a bridge, but the quality with CV is just too good to complain.
The Pentium-M 1.6 is really damn fast. 512MB ram standard and 40GB HD are both great features. The laptop also has a quicklaunch icon bar above the keyboard that can be programmed for media controls or program launching. Very neat.
