Modding

Thread Starter
I know some threads were floating around before, so..Has anyone looked into it? (Besides the obvious paintjob?)

Does anyone have any links to notebook modding sites? I can't seem to find any - must not be that popular. (My guess is they're afraid of messing up and having no warranty)

Hey PCtorque, if I bought from you and messed up on the modding a bit , would the your warranty be completely void?

Thanks all.

re

i think voltage is a big issue when it comes to overclocking laptops, and there designed to not go to much further then what there set from factory like overclocking the fsb or video cards may pull more wattage and destroy the powersupply very fast
i think one day soon u will be able to buy all the parts ur self to build a true gaming laptop. with tons of fans the best video card etc just a matter of time before people see how huge the mobile market is they already know to some extent cause of nvidias new nv 28m and the new ati m10 on the way id say buy the time we see 5 ghz well see more options that cater to people who dont care about battery life at all like me heck i would get it with not battery if they could make a true desktop notebook

im sure u will void ur warrenty instantly if u messed with it to much ie modded the case

There are some case mod places that will take apart and paint or do whatever to your system. It's an at your own risk thing though. If the system was messed up from taking it apart the warranty wouldn't cover it.
